Plain & simply put... I'm simple.

Not simple minded, mind you... though some may argue that point...

I'm simple in the fact that...

I don't need a lot.

Like that song that goes, "Doesn't take much to make me happy... Heaven made me smile with ease," I delight in the little things.

I like to read, love to research the internet and learn new things, enjoy crocheting, watching movies, listening to music, & take joy in writing. I adore being in the vicinity of my husband... even if it's just to read the paper together or get lost in the flames of a bonfire. I am thrilled to watch my children/family grow... to hear them laugh & reminisce and then laugh some more. I find contentment in the day to day, completely boring routine of my life.

I don't need a lot.

I'm not into the latest & greatest technology.
Don't know what the hottest phone to own is right now.
Could care less about HD, Plasma or Pixels.
Would not stand in line to be first to purchase anything.

Because all of the above are material things... and stuff... and...

I don't need a lot.

Whether it be a learned trait or inherited or merely an unburdened blessing... I'm happy just livin' a simple life.

And when I get to the end of my existence here on Earth...
I won't expect people to remember me by the material possessions I owned...
Or by how big my house was...
Or what kind of car I drove...

I would hope that people will remember...
How much I loved them...
How quick I was to laugh...
How happy I was to just live...

And that they'll say out loud...

'She didn't need a lot'
'Heaven made her smile with ease'
'She was... simple'.
