A soft breeze blows
Clouds pass overhead
Not a day for thinking
Thoughts better left unsaid.
A walk through the forest
Fall's sunny day
Listening to the quiet
Nothing to say.
We spend our time
Talking way too much
It'd be better
Just to share a touch.
We live for reasons
Keep pushing ourselves day and night
Sometimes we ask
Are we wrong or right.
Have we forgotten
About love and romance
A moment, a touch
Maybe just one slow dance.
We watch our time
Pass us by
Afraid to reach out
Scared to try.
Needing something
Something that will last longer
That will stand the test of time
