The colors splashed
Across the morning sky
Within a couple of hours
It simply passed by.
But he lived the moment
Over and over again
Revisiting from time to time
Like a long lost friend.
It brought him comfort
Time comes and it goes
As the sun passes by
And the river flows.
When it comes to an end
Will we know or care
The imagination ventures
Where reality never would dare.
Sitting amongst the rocks
That trail into the sea
To release my soul
In search of a key.
Dark clouds circle him
Inside and out
Trying to outrun the storm
Along with uncertainty and doubt.
It's not winning or losing
Settling a score
Nothing minute nor petty
Sometimes less will be more.
