I see alot of behaviors in my son that I exhibited when I was his age. Unfortunatly I was raised in an age where little was known about Autism, and most of these "behaviors" were chalked up to "acting up". I know I took some beatings for my outbursts. I know I struggled and went through some very dark and lonely times as a child, some that I still carry with me. But now I want to make sure my son doesn't tread the same path

This is what has become of our country, and this is a point I have made for years. We have spent our(the US)money in such foolish fashion. First by doling it out to every little 3rd world pissant country, then getting involved in a conflict from which we will never reap any benefit from. We need to start looking after & caring for our people first. In my mind there is no question where the prioity lies.

I did the dishwasher thing, mostly restaurants and resorts in the Old Forge area during the summer. The work was hot and messy and the job offered no redeeming value to it..unless you count what we recieved at the end of the week(I believed they called it a paycheck)

I believe when it comes to sexual orientation whether or not a person can do their job becomes a moot point. To me it's all about a persons ability and qualifications to perform the task at hand. If a person is qualified for the job then let them do it.

As a parent of a "special needs" child I have found that no child is "retarded". Each child has their own limitations and abilities to learn, my child is just as smart and gifted as anybody's child..even more so in my opinion. About the child care issue, I work nights and my wife works days and I provide the care for my children while she works and she is also attending nursing school on the weekends. I'd write more but I may just do a blog on this subject, but just to let you know Grumpy i'm right behind you 100%
