Mothers Day 2008

As we get older we realize that who we are comes from the people that have been a part of our lives, whether you knew them for a short time or they've been with you over the long haul. I think the person that had the most influence on me (surprise) has been my Mother. I would like to think that a lot of who I am and what I have become (at least the good things) we due to her stern..but caring nature. Parents can give their children all the material goods in the world, but that will never replace being given a warm, safe and nurturing environment. Children need to know it's okay to fail, as long as you gave your very best effort. They need to know it's okay to fall down, as long as you get back up. We were taught that not everyone has your best interests at heart, and not everyone plays by the rules. Also you should judge people by whats in their hearts, and not what they look or act like. For remember a diamond comes from a lump of coal. So I'd like to thank my mother (who is now 81 years old)for who I am and the lessons in life I was given, for it made me far richer then any material good she could have given me.

'. I would like to think that a lot of who I am and what I have become'---I definitely can say the same but not for good reasons but no matter what--I learned how to be positive from a negative woman! It took many years but I forgave her--she did what she thought was right and what she had been taught.

well as for me did not have the luck that you did.
My mom died at a very young age of 51.Though did not know her
very well as being the youngest of nine.
Every Mothers Day I think of this and see how lucky most of the
younger people still have their mom here.
Then again this was a different time.
They should be appreciated of their mothers.
That is a very good post there.
I always wonder the feeling of having a mother alive today.
But life goes on.
