My Life as a Poet
I write poetry, or at least I give it a shot. I have been writing now for about 40 years, I started when I was in High School. I started writing as a release, somewhere I could vent my feelings and frustrations. I was a lost and confused soul at that time in my life, I felt alone and unloved. I am a very outgoing person, I am able to hold my own conversation wise in almost every social setting. But for as outgoing as I am I do not have a lot of friends, people that are close to me. I go from work to home and back again, choosing to spend my time holed up at my house. I find enough to keep me busy here, sometimes a little too busy. I work the graveyard shift, I've done that for most of my employed life. I don't have to interact with a lot of people working at night, one..maybe two at any given time. I am a human warehouse of useless information, that is why I am good at games like jeopardy or trivial pursuit. I have a curious nature when it comes to people, for I feel no matter who you are you have a story. I am writing this because I am striving to let people get to know me better and the process I go through when I write. Thanks for all those who stop by my front porch, I hope you will keep dropping in.
