Heart, Home, and a Journey (Pt 5 )

But in the midst of the happiness
The joy and the elation
A dark cloud appeared
And put a damper on the munchkin
celebration.
When the smoke cleared
Another witch appeared, with a face
of green
And Dorothy was sure of one thing
This was the meanest witch she'd
ever seen.
Who killed my sister?
Demanded this horrible beast
Who killed my sister
The wicked witch of the east.
The witch approached Dorothy
Bellowing out, was it you?
Dorothy was scared beyond belief
She could not answer, even though
it was true.
Glinda reminded the witch
Of the slippers, ruby red
You'd better take them
Now that your sister is dead.
She went to get the shoes
But she'd been beat
For now those ruby red slippers
Were now on Dorothy's feet.
Now the witch was even angrier
Her voice trebled and shook
She swore she would get those shoes
By hook or by crook.
With that awful warning
The witch disappeared
In another cloud of smoke and fire
Vowing that soon she'd reappear.
