Those daily walks were a combination
Between remembering and reminisce
The moments she endured
Between loneliness and bliss.
But the loons kept her company
Letting her know she was not alone
And Normans spirit was there as
a reminder
That she was never to be on her own.
Then there was Chelsie
With a card or sometimes a call
And a half hearted promise to visit
Sometime before the Fall.
Sometimes there was anger
For Norman dying
Nights by the fire
Just sitting there crying.
But she realizes
It wasn't his idea to go
It was his just his time
And soon Ethel would follow.
That night she fell asleep
And dreamed of Norman again
He was smiling and waving
Asking her where the hell she'd
been.
As the sun rose in LA
Chelsie received a call on the phone
Her mother was no longer here
And she'd never be alone.
