Our life is but a road
Filled with the places we see
The people we meet
Getting from point A to point B.
Some choose a straight path
To which they adhere
For if they were to stray
They'd be struck with fear.
Others choose to wander
Without worry nor care
For one way or another
They know that they will get there.
To take the scenic route
Maybe stop and lend a hand
Not agenda or schedule
No road map, or no plan.
Life is an adventure
To be savored, like fine wine
It's not a race
Just to get to the finish line.
So as I take my journey
Maybe I will stray
Taking a different road
Going a different way.
