As I travel this lovely part of my world, I see some lakes and ponds and other small bodies of water that were just drying up. I saw the rocky crevices that covered the bottom where some bass were just bound to find a hiding place. I saw the water levels drop to a sad, dangerous low.
But the rains came! Now those bodies of water are nearly full to the brim! Once again I can see life in those dusty old bowls.
Yes...it is difficult in my line of work to go in and out of the weather all day. BUT...I never complained about a little rain dampening my hair or running down the windows of my car. I welcomed it with open arms and an umbrella!
The Govener of my state, Hon. Sonny Perdue, stood on the capitol steps and prayed for rain. Unashambed. Confident that the Lord would send the rains to our dry,but still lovely Southern State.
And the rains came.
And the animals and plants are glad.
And I'm glad!
