Retirement Is Too Far Away

Life & Events > Well, I Tried. That Counts Right?

Well, I Tried. That Counts Right?

I think so. hehe

So work sucked royally today. I was trying to keep it positive. I was leaving work and sat through 7 cycles of the same light. Not kidding nor am I exaggerating. I was trying to keep it positive. I sat on the highway which was more like a parkway because we weren't moving and I was trying to keep it positive. I got home (YAY!) awhile later and saw that Tucker had shat upon the floor, mountain style, and I lost that freakin positive.

Gone.

But - since my boss told me today at 4:30 that a MASS MAILING has to be organized, printed and sent out tomorrow overnight express - again, at 4:30 today - I have decided that once I make it through tomorrow all will be well. If I do. It's becoming more and more challenging daily to make it through one freakin day.

So I ask you, my "positive" readers, where is the positive in my workday and commute? That which takes up the majority of my days? I know my home life is swell, aside from the mountainous piles of Tucker shite to be found, but seriously... I dare you to find it. I actually BEG you to find it, so I don't give up on this positive thing completely. hehe

Happy Thursday again, since I won't get to this tomorrow I reckon... *sigh*

Let me give you a positive, you're young. You still have decisions to make and don't have to be stuck in this cycle forever. Keep in mind that this is only temporary and you'll suffer through. It pays the bills till you can ago do what you really want to do. If it requires taking more training to get higher pay in working with animals, then get the training. You don't have to be stuck at something you'll hate forever, trust me, I got out of it and became a teacher. No matter what, I still enjoy the center of what I do.

Traffic is certainly frustrating. Play some dvds, make to do lists, make necessary phone calls etc. Read some books like The Magic of Believing, I forgot who wrote it. Be kind to someone who doesn't deserve it. I know that something good is around the cornor.
