What Do You Do?

What do you do when you are dying inside? Write a blog post of course.

These 2 Kiddos are crazy.

Sawyer loves to knock over the full sized vacuum, get into the dogs water and do push ups on Kraymer. Constant constant constant.

Skylar adores pushing my buttons and changing her mind and preferences in 1 second flat. Such a toddler that one...

But my real stressor, my real emotional drain is my Kraymer. He is 12. Used to be over a hundred pounds, has gotten down to 75. Paces at night. He's on 6 diff pills at night, 3 in the am. His hind end is failing him. I'm watching this happen. It's torturous. His appetite is diminishing. Offered wet food tonight, he walked away. His favorite thing ALWAYS was food. He's not himself. I can't fathom the unthinkable yet upcoming event. It's killing me.

Anywho. Needed to get this out. Crying a lot these days and it sucks. Oooooo these dogs!

Jeri, also thinking of you.... <3

Been there recently as you know. Benny gave up dog food, then rice and chicken. Gulping sausage was all he'd do but he'd turn away from that too near the end. But he remained hydrated and the vet said there was nothing inhumane about keeping him home and helping him get around. His heart was too weak to carry is weight. There's really noting I can say except that there's noting you can do to stop the inevitable. Give him whatever he wants and make his days as happy as possible. I feel so bad for you.

I did think of you too. I know you VERY recently went thru this. Kraymer eats treats still but has been refusing the wet food. We are going to try a different kind, but this stuff is $3 a can and kinda like a beefy stew.... Who knows.
Thank you for the kind words, they are appreciated.

I know you've done it already, but take a moment to tell Kraymer how much you love him and how much he has meant to you, and you will never forget him. I've done that with various cats over the years, and looking back after they were gone, was so glad I did. Since we never know what life will bring us tomorrow, I do it pretty often with whatever cat I'm with at the time. People, too, but we usually tell them more often.

Thank you. I just did talk with him again... It's cleansing of the soul and now I will know I had another good convo with him. he is doing ok today. Hoping for many more good days

It is like losing a beloved family member when you lose your pet. They
are your constant bit of unconditional love. Love him, pamper him and
when it he is suffering too much let the Vet help him across the rainbow
bridge and hold him in your arms while he travels there. The terrible
twos are truly a horror so hang in there.

Yes I will be there with him every step of the way no matter how hard. Thanks for your kind words.
And these terrible two! And terrible 10 months! Haha
I don't know how this species has thrived.

I'm sooo sorry, doll. I know how much you love your Kraymer-head. And will always love him. Pet him for me. Big hugs!
