The Cruise, Part One

After work on Wednesday we got our stuff together and headed out to the airport. We parked in one of the garages to alleviate waiting for buses to transport us from the economy lots. It was nice! We got there early (because I am a worry wart and didn't want to be late) so we found a REALLY nice wine bar at the airport. I was very impressed with this place! I wish it was right around the corner from my house!

We arrived in FL and were greeted by R's parents. Good times. They are nice people. I had to laugh though, we were waiting to get through a toll at one point and I was like hey is Orlando considered the south? (they live in the south like R used too) At this time it was after midnight, but the toll line was HUGE! It took us ten minutes to get through, with only 3 cars in front of us... hehe See I was kidding about the toll line being huge... get it? 3 cars? Shoulda taken 2 minutes, if we were in the north that is... :0)

So we get to where they are staying and MAN was it GORGEOUS! It was a condo type thing with a full kitchen and living room and patio and 3 bedrooms. We had our own room and bathroom (which I wasn't expecting) so I was a happy camper. I didn't sleep well for some reason and I was woken up quite early due to R's 3 young nieces who apparently like to scream a lot in the morning. hehe

That morning we waited around for the bus to take us to the ship, then we finally got on the ship at about 2. I was ecstatic to be starting our vacation, so we went up by the pool where I found a new favorite drink, passion fruit margarita. YUM MEEE!!! We proceeded to drink the rest of the day and night - aka I was one trashed sista!

The next day as we were lying in bed I said to R, I am so glad we have nothing planned this vacation! R then surprised me and said - well we are going parasailing tomorrow though. I was stunned and immediately said what? He was like don't you remember the conversation we had about it yesterday? Ummmmm. ACK! Apparently I said I would do it as long as it wasn't early in the morning. I knew right then that I had been quite drunk, as I would never agree to that kinda torture due to my large fear of heights... So that's when the panic attacks started coming in waves...

more later. :0)

You and I are so alike! I too have to get the airport about three hours early because I HATE being late or being rushed. And I am SCARED TO DEATH of heights!
Can't wait to hear how the parasailing went!!!!!!
