Belly and Religion

Ron and I are not religious by any means. I certainly believe in God and his powers, but we are not bible thumpers nor do I long to be. The thought of organized religion makes me shiver sometimes. I grew up Catholic, Ron grew up Methodist. We are trying to figure this out so we can start attending masses in order to get baby girl baptized. Any one have any insight? We are fairly certain we can't just show up at a church and say baptize her please. Sigh.

Here is the latest pic, 35 weeks. So unreal!

I love Kraymer heads tongue in the pic.

So the weather people say we are supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow. Really??? Snow? Late March? In VA??? In good news it won't stick for long, but 4-8 inches seems a bit much this late in the game...

We watched Argo last night. I really enjoyed it! I found it to be a nail biter, which I wasn't expecting...

Anyways... happy Sunday peeps. I hope you have had a great weekend!

Interesting dilemma. Personally I think it's more important to teach values to the little one than get caught up in ritual and mambo-jumbo. Besides, some churches believe that baptism is for those who are old enough to understand and make a commitment to got. Anyway, there are many resources on the Internet. Try a forum maybe?

Thanks for the tip! Good point about being older and having a choice. I just can't see a 12(?) year old caring enough about it? She will certainly know manners and the golden rule! I too find that of utmost importance.

That is one magnificent baby bump there. I think you could attend a methodist church a couple of times and then get the baby christened but
the Catholic church would be harder.

Catholic church would be harder for sure, I have no doubt.

Why baptize? If you want I will make a nice baptism certificate and send it to you.

I didn't even know there was a certificate. I don't know why baptize. I guess because we both were?

I'm afraid I can't help. None of my children were baptized, christened or blessed.

We might have the same.

Isn't this weird.I am Catholic and when married my ex wife was a Methodist.
I did not change for anyone and let the mom take it from there.
Not sure if any of the children follow this in later years.Yes,I went to church for the children sake.Ugh.that did not work out too well.No need to go any further on this.I stay out of this.
Do I believe in God?well if they can proved it there was a God and then tell me.

I believe in a God. Just not really organized religion. We will figure it out I suppose!

Seems like Spring isn't coming for most of America. My friend in Chicago said they had snow predicted for the weekend as well.
Love the photos with Kraymer-head! Keep 'em coming followed by baby and Kraymer. Can't wait to hear about the new family vibe.
