Retirement Is Too Far Away

And the Beat Goes On

I talked with my mother on facebook last night about the cruise and meeting up with Deb. I also mentioned avoiding the brothers. She told me that everyone is over what I did. Hmmmm I am long over what I did. I guess it's worse than I thought?

That leads me to wonder about secrecy and family life. How secretive is your family? I don't keep secrets well so I don't like people who are secretive I guess. Does that make sense? And to be fair I didn't blurt out this "family secret". I was playing a stupid game, much to the chagrin of my immediate family in the room I used a clue they didn't like. I guess I didn't think it was that big of a deal, but according to my family, it was a secret. Ugs. I dunno. It irritates me and I am still pissed about my brother being a complete arse about it all. But seriously, I want to know your thoughts about family secrets. I was with family... just the extended type... and apparently this is an immediate family secret. I do not like secrets.

Anywho, I am enrolling in a levels training class soon paid for by my boss. HOW COOL IS THAT? I am so excited. I love it! I am going to take Tucker with me since he doesn't listen well and also learn how this type of class offering works. Then, soon, I shall be giving my very own classes. SOOOO COOL! Exciting times indeed.

Happy Monday peeps! I hope you are all warm and cozy!

I'm not sure if I'd call them secrets in our family. It's more "withholding of information". Whereas I let it all hang out, my sisters and father keep things to themselves. I just don't know what they're thinking half the time. Very irritating.

I concur...

I think all our family secrets have seeped out now. I remember when we
were little our mother telling us not to tell certain things and Ted
tends to be secretive whereas I just let it all hang out. Have fun on
your trip and forget the whole thing.

See I am with ya! I don't get it. But whatever. Time to move on.

I agree with you, trying to keep family secrets is silly because in the long run what difference does it make, family is still family - you can't trade them in for new ones, and even if you could whatever you get will still have flaws and dysfunction. After my parents were both dead my cousins told me a bunch of stuff about my immediate family that I never knew. It's liberating, and explains some events I was too young to understand at the time.

I am with you... it's seems so stupid. Oh well.

Sounds like the family will get over it before the cruise. It'll be fine and I'm sure they are over-reacting. It's not like you said it at a public newscast live to millions - whatever it was.
Congrats on the awesome job with the great perks! You've earned it after all the years of admin gigs.

True, it's still work.

Yeah I need to get over it. That seems to be the problem.
Thanks for the congrats on the job. It's seriously like a DREAM! Well I mean it's still work so it's not my favorite but for work, I like it.

Concentrate on planning (and enjoying) your forthcoming cruise. Put all negative thoughts down the toilet, where they belong.
There are far more important decisions to make: 'bikini' or 'one piece' / 'heels' or 'flatties' . . . . . . See what I mean?
The very best of british luck with the Training opportunity -
