Mumbling To Myself

26-27 Nov 2008

26 Nov 2008 Wednesday

I’m currently on the phone (on hold actually) looking for the results of my x-rays from yesterday. My family doctor and I both think that I have a pinched nerve in my upper neck, which caused all the chest pain last Friday.  Since Friday I’ve still had some chest pain but mostly it’s in my upper neck/ base of my skull. I get the occasional shooting pain if I do something wrong that shoots down my neck and into my shoulder. So she ordered a bunch of X-ray of my neck to see if they can see what is wrong.

I’m hoping that there is something there, but then again with my history with bone spurs and joint problems, I also hope that there is nothing there. Kinda a catch-22 situation, eh?

Been back to work this whole week and doing just fine. Now I’m off work for the rest of the week for the Holiday and I’m planning on getting some work done on beginning my website.

For those of you who don’t know I’ve been planning on making a Biker website for about a year now and I’m finally going to get my stuff together and start plugging away at it. I don’t have any training on how to operate or even build a website, so I’ve picked up this computer program that is supposed to make it easy to do. Plus I tend to operate in the “K.I.S.S.” principle. Otherwise know as “Keep It Simple Stupid”.

The whole idea is to become a one stop place for local Biker news and information. All the local Rides, Rally’s, and Poker Runs will be listed on my site along with other news and information concerning the Motorcycle Riding Community. I’ve thought of several names and I’m leaning towards “Mountain States Riders Network” or MSRN for short. That way I can eventually branch out to other areas outside of East Tennessee if the website gets a chance to grow.

If I can eventually sell advertising on the site it can be specific to the area and hopefully make a few dollars on it. You know target the local motorcycle dealers, bars, restaurants and such.

OK. I gave up on the Doctors office, so I guess I’ll just have to wait for the results of the X-rays.

27 Nov 2008 Thanksgiving

Oh I’m being lazy today. It’s about 1:30 in the afternoon and I’m still in my PJs. I’ll jump into the shower here in a few minutes and get ready to go for a motorcycle ride with M. It’s about 50° today and we’re gonna take advantage of the weather while we can. We probably won’t go far or very fast but we’ll be out on the bikes on Thanksgiving Day.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for M and the motorcycles, my health (of course!) our home, our kitties, a hot cup of coffee in the morning and a warm supper at night, a bed to sleep in, a family that loves me, good friends who care, bowling and cold beer, the sun, the moon and the stars, and everything that makes me smile. That includes my friends here.

My son's business is located in Florida. His business is a website to order quads and safety gear. It's also for racing quad stuff. Both my grandsons race professionally. The youngest has been racing since age 3,on the adult track.I can't even watch,it's scares me so.You could go to the site and check it out, just for fun.I just thought it might help bring in some money for the ads.10-4Laurie

Well, maybe they'll find what's wrong soon. Hope it's nothing serious. Sometimes these things are so simple that they overlook the easy answers. BTW, my brother used to have a motorcycle, and I always worried that he would one day be "Now... Not Alive." But, he is... alive!!
