Yesterday I flea bombed the three rooms upstairs - my bedroom, spare (bed)room and the art studio. I have my new A/C in the art studio now, so after the six hours I turned on both A/C units to clear the rooms of the stuff still in the air. There was very very little odor, tho.
Today, I am preparing to do the main floor. 4 flea bombs are ready. One each in the kitchen, foyer-dining room, living room and the bath/office rooms. I have been working the prep for two hours now. I put cardboard over all the furnace registers and air returns, put foodstuffs in the refrigerator. Sealed the pantry cabinets, took up what I need to paint for the six hour fogging duration (including a 'wee-wee' can for yours truly. The cats have two litter boxes in the studio. Tape for around the door to seal us in, phones will be there, etc.
I must make a run first to get a few more things.
I have clean cat bowls and water up there. The cats have all been treated on the back of their necks.
After we come out - probably late in the afternoon or early evening, I will have to begin a cleaning spree. Vacuuming, washing things exposed to the poisons, etc. I intend to do the bombing on a weekly basis until we win this battle, or the war, whichever.
Poor cats.
Poor Jon.
But, I get to paint in the A/C for six whole hours! That's a good thing!
done the flea thing too. Once we went on vacation and came back to a
horde of fleas. The county agent told us to sprinkle boric acid everywhere at night and then to vacum it up in the morning. It was horrible.
