Cats on a Box ...

I calculated my expenses for the rest of the month. Went out to find a window A/C. Got one and dragged it home. Ran out of energy at the kitchen roll-around table and there it is until I can install it in the upstairs painting studio today.

As you can see, I may have assistance, and I may not.

My calculations vs. the price of the unit means I will run out of coffee and smokes about the beginning of the last week of July, but I will be painting and cooler!

We are fighting a tick infestation this year. Found one on Jax, our Boxer, and a couple just crawling around. In the 11 years I've lived here, I've never seen any ticks except on the deer JR killed. We are having to be extra careful.

I will have to continue flea treatments on the cats, and bombing the house, probably on a weekly basis. This is getting expensive. I already am near broke, so until I can sell another painting I am drinking tea from old tea bags instead of coffee.

After I installed the unit, I shredded the box because it had those copper staples in it. Didn't want to cause injuries. They were not impressed and so they claimed the styrofoam inserts to play with.
Our battle with the sudden fleas infestation is ongoing. Bombed the upstairs rooms today and I am just about ready to unseal the doors up there and kick on the A/C units to clear the air. Tomorrow we do the rest of the house, and that means being exiled to the studio upstairs for six hours!

What is it about cats and new boxes? Whenever we get something like a vacuum cleaner we have to keep the box around for months or years so Buddy can sit on it and in it, it's his cat cave.

You want us to believe that these innocent kitties tore up your house the other day? They don't have the energy to lick the milk out of their bowls let alone wreak havoc on your house.

They are likely still worn out from their escapades the other day!
