Lowering My Price ...

I picked up my prescription at Wal-Mart's pharmacy Friday. After I paid for it I told the Pharmacist I was going to take the package and the paid receipt around to Kroger, Rite Aid and another pharmacy here named "Pharm," to compare the price.

She said, "You won't get it anywhere else for less than what you pay here."

I said, "Probably not, but that isn't what I'm doing this. I have had enough of this heartless company and its policy of screwing everyone from local small businesses to its faithful employees."

She said, "I totally agree with you about that."

So I gave it to Rite-Aid after they guaranteed me the very same price that I have been paying at Wal-Mart. They are moving the prescription!

One more little step for mankind!

I only go to Sam's Club for one prescription: Bella's prozac. It's $6 a month there and was costing me $30 a month elsewhere. The kmarts are at least 20 minutes away. Plain and simple, I can't afford any more.

Good for you Fortunately in Wales (not England, Scotland or Ireland) we have free prescription charges - thanks to the Welsh Assembly.
The prices of keeping well were ludicrous!

You are to be commended! My my neighbor is a WalMart employee, and they just take advantage of her because she only has a high school education, and they know that she probably would have a time getting a job elsewhere. And WalMart's slash-and-burn tactics to wipe out local competition is unconscionable!
That's why any chance I get, I patronize local mom and pop places rather than ANY large chain store. (For example, I go to the local bakery for my coffee in the morning rather than a Dunkin' Donuts or a Starbucks.)

I think if enough of the intelligentsia do what you did, Walmart may see the light.

So Rite-Aid actually gave you the same price? Good! I just heard something on TV that you can bargain for anything these days! Maybe I'll try it... To tell you the truth, I still go to Walmart because the people there know me and always seem glad to see me... I don't know, but it seems that all big companies take advantage. I know a clerk in my local grocery store, Albertson's who is having great issues about her health plan. Her baby couldn't get the care she needed... Well, it's a cruel world... sometimes.
