Benny has a few fatty deposits that apparently come with age. The one on his thy got larger and he started licking at it, so I called the vet yesterday. When the woman heard that it was getting red, she put me on hold.... Came back and asked if I could being him in tomorrow (today) at 8:45.
I said "sure", and here I sit at 8 ready to go. He's still waiting for breakfast, but they don't wont him to have anything in case they fit him into today's surgery schedule.
I try not to speculate since there are so many possibilities, so I'll just have to wait and see. My own glaucoma surgery last year was so much easier to deal with. I hate when it's somebody else.
I'll update later.....

Hugs to Benny and best wishes for a fast recovery.
Benny is a fine-looking dog,,,much more handsome than a coon hound. Here's hoping his problem turns out to be minor.
funny as a lot of these fatty tumor are very harmless.Buffy had old man warts on his body and very typical for older dog. Glad things went well there.Hope.You mean that there was no one at the Vet to give you guys ride home?
He'll come through with no problem and he'll have to put up with you for years!!!
Buffy had a few of these removed a couple of weeks ago. Most of these are caused by old age.Lie the licking part on the sores have to be careful as they do get infection. But once it done you will be fine.Benny and John.
Like you know, Kraymer has had a few of these taken out from nasty places. I hope that you get the same good news I got once they send it out for biopsy --- Hang in there... might be a worrisome few days ahead. And please keep us posted.
It is much easier to deal with your own pain than the pain of those you love. Benny is a love. I am hoping for all the best.
