Last night was Fair on the Square again in Delhi. I posted a video tour of the event after the first week. It's held every Friday in July from 5 til 9 p.m. Some organizations and fire departments sell food, BBQ, strawberry shortcake, pop corn and s few other things that I didn't take not of. Private vendors sell their goods, and we were there to promote 4C Camp for Adults. Our neighbors were members of the Delaware County Senior Counsel and they were raising money for their valuable cause (no, I don't know what it is).
They were holding what they call a "cake walk", but as the gentleman said, "we're old, so we don't walk". I sent Donna over to win a cake for me and since she was there I figured I'd shoot a video. It speaks for itself. Even the part about: she didn't win.
I guess I should post a picture of our booth before I move on to the next video. We had a nice presentation, if I do say so myself, and I Do!

I was standing behind the sign when the clown who does those balloon things took the open spot next to our booth. I started to do a quick video and the band began to play "Stand by Me", so I just let the camera do its thing until the song was over.
In other news... We've been on the dry side around here. Not as bad as the parts of the country that really need the rain, but dry enough that I don't have to mow. I've been watering the garden and it's doing very well. We've been eating tomatoes and squash. Zucchini-boat on the menu for tomorrow! This is one of my favorite times of year--fresh tomatoes--the only kind I eat!
All the logs have been dispatched. I ended up with about three cords, which may have been enough, but I called a guy who was selling it for $180 and had him bring some. Turns out he brought 2 cords, so now I have five cords on-site. That should be more than enough, since we burn oil in the beginning of the season when it's not cold enough to keep a wood fire going 24/7.
Tomorrow I have to set up the scaffold and do some work on the windows that the pros didn't do (long story). Then some paint and the outside will be finished. Vinyl is final, as they say, although the windows will need painting again some day. Maybe not on my watch, who knows.
Til next time... happy summer!
