For Spring Break, a group of stayed at Indianhead Mountain in Michigan. It's near the Wisconsin/Minnesota border, and it usually gets a lot of lake effect snow from Lake Superior. Unfortunately, there wasn't a whole lot of snow for us. There were a couple of storms that dropped some much needed powder on the area before we arrived.
The main resort was located at the top of the mountain. Our group stayed in a small housing unit (similar to a condo) that were a short walk to the lifts. Every night they had a really nice fireworks show.
This photo is up by the main lodge at the top of the lifts. In the distance are a couple of the intermediate trails. The item in the center on top of the pole is a snow making gun.

I took this picture while going down Deer Track, one of the easier trails.

The resort had an ice chapel built at the bottom of the trail. It was used for some couples who were getting married or renewing their vows. The brides had to wear a veil, and all of the grooms were given top hats. A local news crew was at the site doing a story on it.
(Oh..the doors of the chapel open!)

No broken bones - fun trip!

My sister had her baby!! I don't know if you remember, but in an old post it was mentioned that my strange sister wanted to name her daughter Grayson...well, thankfully, my brother-in-law talked some sense into my sister and they ended up naming their daughter Brena Elizabeth. I think it's a really nice name. You will see from the pictures that she was a big baby - weighed over 9 lbs!
Here's a photo of me holding her an hour after she was born.

So as you can see, a lot has happened over the past month, but I have every intention of getting back into making a weekly/bi-weekly post from now on. I miss reading all your posts. I will try to catch up on reading and leave some comments if I can.
My Architecture classes resume on the 8th. I'm just a few months away from the end of Freshman year - hard to believe.
Glad to be back. :)
We all disappear from time to time so no worries. Always nice to hear from you!
