Rebuilding and Expansion

Finally some steps are made in the way to the expansion of our living room and replacing the kitchen. There were some logistic problems because the kitchen was scheduled for December 4 to get installed. Problem was that our builder had problems with starting end of October. Other projects needed more time because of the weather. Last Monday the builder came to measure some things and made final appointments. Start will be on November 17.
I already had called the kitchen supplier that December 4 probably would not be possible. We would have to wait till third week of January so that is quite some time without a kitchen starting November 20.
The builder made some changes in the schedule and now the kitchen can be placed on December 4 while the rebuilding/expansion is still going on.
Before the 17th we need to remove old wallpaper from walls, we need to remove the wooden floor, we need to remove the cobblestones on our terrace where they need to drill in piles into the ground ,and we need to remove the shed partial.
When they all keep to the schedule December 22 all will be finished. Wals and ceiling will be done too then, but need a drying period for about 6 weeks. We will order our new floor for the end of January.
I try to sell my old kitchen on eBay, already have 3 people who are interested. Highest offer is 300 euro. I don't mind the amount btw, just want to get rid of the old kitchen.

Just said it sounded like a big job but did not know how big until I saw this post. Wow! Major remodeling! You should do before and after pictures for us!

You're going to be so glad when it's done. We did our kitchen over one year around Christmas time. It got really old having the house all torn up for weeks and weeks.

Remodeling can be so stressful, because one is still living in the house while the work progresses. I wish you the best.

that's great idea to sell your old kitchen. Way to be environmentally friendly

Wow! Selling the old kitchen will help lower the cost of the new one. It stinks about the extended timeline, though.
