Monday Talk

Yesterday the builder came by to check some things out. He measured dome things and made some appointments. When we talked all things over at the start of this project with the builder he told us we didn't had to remove the wallpaper, for the new plasterwork cant be done on it (he then told us it would be possible). Well will become an "inspiring" weekend getting rid of the old wallpaper. He also told us the kitchen need to be removed in 2 weeks already. We both thought it was possible to keep the old kitchen till the new one could be placed. This will mean that we cant use water and so for about 5 weeks. The builder will try to get the new one placed within two weeks after starting the rebuilding he promised so,.... we will see. For now I have something like: I don't care at all how it all will happen as long as we are all done with Christmas lol. At least we now know they will start November 17!

So today the big day for you Americans is there. When I woke up the first results were there. A little village in New Hamshire opened at midnight and they all voted there. Usually a republican village but now Obama won! Gives a good feeling for the rest of the day.
For Obama bad news about his grandmother just before the elections, sorry to hear it.

Well will keep it short, have a lot to do at work so.... TC all!

We had the same problem when we remodeled our kitchen in 2004 (It is hard to believe it was that long ago). We were doing the work ourselves. Since it was our turn to host my family for Christmas Eve, we had the benefit/encouragement to get it done quickly. It worked out, but it was tough not having access to a lot of things.
I am so excited about today. I can't wait to get home and watch the news (all evening) to see as each state changes color (red or blue) as it is awarded to the candidates. God knows when I will get to sleep!
On a bright note, I am thinking I will probably know the results of my own election some time around 10pm.

We've never had kitchen work done, but I hear it's a pain to not have an operating kitchen. The kitchen and the bathroom are the two most used rooms that are hard to do without.
