In an ongoing attempt to find some uplifting, inspirational news in this rotten, fucked up world, here are three individuals whom, in my view, deserve special recognition for heroism, steadfastness, or just plain balls.
First:

Prince Harry of Great Britain. Third in line to the British throne, Prince Harry volunteered to serve in a combat unit in Afganistan and was doing so in happy anonimity until some sleazeball American media (i.e. the Drudge Report) ratted him out. The prince was actually fighting on the front lines, shooting at people and being shot back at, thus proving that he's so much more than the pampered, over-indulged, pub crawling, besoddened twit that the tabloids have lead us to believe. I guess he has more of his mama, Princess Di, in him after all.
Next:

Grandma Sarah Obama. Paternal grandmother of presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obama (Jackass- Illiois) Mrs. Obama, when interviewed in her native village in Kenya, defended her grandson against assaults on and dispersions of his religious faith. "Untruths are told that don't have anything to do with what Barack is about. I am very against it," she explained in her native language through an interpreter. "Bringing such pictures that are trying to imply that not only is he a foriegner, he is a Muslim is wrong because that is not what he is." There you have it. Case closed. 'Nuff said.
And Last But Not Least:

Chelsea Clinton. During an appearence at Butler University in Indianna where she was stumping for her mother's presidential campaign, the daughter of Sen. Hillary Clinton (Jackass- New York) and former president Bill Clinton (Trouser Snake- Arkansas), when asked by some dildo in the audience about her father's Lewinsky pecadillo, bristled slightly and replied without missing a beat, "I don't think that's any of your business." Good for you, Chels. That's tellin' 'em.
All these people get a big, ol' "two antennas up" from yer own bugg.
