Hello From the Dead, MyBloggerstown:
Yep I'm still alive. I am so sorry its been so long. I keep having the best of intentions but continue to backslide. I simply haven't felt like doing anything a' tall lately. The weather continooos to be gloomy here in Cow Snot. It's damp and chilly and there are no leaves on the few trees we have. I am using this green font to compensate for this. This Sunday is Easter so mebee that will jump start what passes for a good mood for me.
Things here at Shady Pines remain the same. We have a body of folks who supposedly represent us called the Resident Council. Elections for officers of this organization are next month. The ones we have now are decent but they are all not seeking re-election. They are, to quote disgraced politicians everywhere, "retiring to spend more time with the family". I don't know for sure who's running but if its the ones that have been rumored, its going to be a mess. One is a grinning, insincere, control freak who already thinks she owns the place, and the other is a troll like character of undeterminate gender who has delusions of grandure. This party is one of those who everything you know, do, experience , see he/she/it has done it more, better, longer, higher. You've all known people like this, am I right? Can anything be more annoying? I forsee total disaster. People have tried to get the current Council to remain but they are sick up and fed with all the whining, kvetching, back biting and ingratitude. I can't really blame them for telling all of us to stick it where the sun never shines. We shall see how this all shakes out. In any event, I am staying as far away from this impending train wreck as possible. Now some of you will say, "So, Bugg, why don't you run and quit yer bitchin'?" I have not the patience nor the diplomacy to deal with these crazy basta...I mean diverse personalities here. I know my limitations.
The neighbors continue to drive me nuts. Now the guy upstairs is starting up. I don't know why, after more than a year of quiet, he feels the need to stomp and blare his television. I get it from all sides.
Family issues are the status quo. Jethro has been sent home from day care a coupla times for kicking people. We can't help but wonder what is going to happen when he goes to kindergarten next year. He needs consistant disipline but between his mother's negelect and Aunt Crazy Sis's babying he isn't getting it. Poor little fella. And you can't talk to these people about it. They get all in a snit. Add this to the list of things that make my butt ache and that I am so tired of I could just scream.
Well, that's just about it, sports fans. Hopefully, I can get it together enough to post more often. Have a good weekend and a Happy Easter, everyone.
