I'll get to the gist of this blog in a bit but if you really want a smile check out the following story:

It's about turtles bringing an airport to its knees!!!
While
we are on the subject of 'creatures' how could you not have a good day
by walking off the elevator in the morning and being greeted with this
site?
Okay, the reason for this post. I am always talking about how lucky, happy I am and I feel like the richest man in the world though I am certainly not financially wealthy but I do
have friends who I depend on, who constantly surprise me and make my
life so easy.
Without
going into detail I got a call from Jill over the weekend and she asked
if I would be interested in using her car. Would I be interested?!?!?!?
YES!!!! I
now have her car and have the freedom to come and go! HURRAH! Only this
time I will have to watch the spending a little better than I did when I
had Allen's car. That is one of the reasons I feel so lucky--how many
friends would let you have their car for an extended period of time?
Sometimes it overwhelms me.

I
had to go back to my doctor about the gout--more about that over the
weekend --and we had time to have lunch before we went to meet Jill so
Allen and I went to the Rendezvous for lunch.
He had the seafood fettuccine while I had the mussels in garlic, wine and oil. I ate mine too fast to get a picture but the empty shells are mine! LOL I really enjoy the place and , obviously, so do other people as there
was a notice that the place would be closed tomorrow as they would be
shooting a scene for the new TV series on AMC called "The Glades"--keep an eye out for it.

A car on loan from Jill, a good lunch with Allen and only 20 days until I go to the opening of the touring production of "Mamma Mia"--life is good folks!

"Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated failures.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."
Calvin Coolidge, 1872-1933 President of the United States 0f America
