Continuing
my walk along the backyards of Gateway on Labor Day I came across
Allen's yacht--well, at least the yacht he wants to get when he wins
the Lotto this week. It is called the "Audacity" and has been here as
long as I have. There were rumors--never substantiated--that the 2 guys
who own(ed?) it made runs down to the Bahamas for drugs. Don't really
know what is up with it now as it hasn't left dock in a very long time
nor have I seen anyone cleaning it.
Talking
about 'rumors'--hey, what else do old folks have to do?--supposedly the
yacht on the left in both pictures and the house/land it is docked at
was bought by Chris Evert for her parents. I have never seen it out of
the dock.
Here
we are back at The Point the sky empty of clouds except for a tuft here
and there, but with the possible before the storm clouds come in,
looking north are the gathering clouds. Right before the high rises is
Sunrise Boulevard--who the founding fathers first called Sunset
Boulevard but didn't like the affinity with old people dying and/or the
movie "Sunset Boulevard"--or the rumors go--decided to rename it!
Along my walk I always had company as geckos are everywhere sunning themselves during the afternoon!
