Summertime in Fort Lauderdale Part 16

Mother
Nature never ceases to amaze me. I've mentioned more than once about my
trimming the White Bird of Paradise tree (and, of course, complaining
about my aches and pains because of it) but as I passed it today I
noticed a new growth near the trunk that I would swear was not there
last week!! Here it is--has white 'flowers' and tall green leaves. I
don't think in anyway is it related to the tree but it is in front and I
couldn't have missed it before. I think she sneaked  in last night and
planted it there!

Talking
about trees--I was at the mall the other day and went passd the Home
Goods store and in the entrance was this 'tree' and on sale!!! Only
$599!! Don't understand why nobody bought it and if they did I hope I
don't know them! They are purple and white lights.

Only
2 more days to go and I will be off the 'turkey sandwich for lunch, no
cheeseburgers' kick. I don't know why I even started it but here is one
of the last ones that I had at Jimmy John's lately.

Though
I posted this the other day this is the finished printed cover of the
September Gazette issue. It might be the last color cover as the boss
says it costs too much money. The October cover is suppose to be
pictures of the gardens residents have planted and the November I
planned a salute to the Veterans who live here then, of course, there
are the holidays in December. I think I will fight for the next 3 to be
in color and go from there.

Comments:

It seems like the gardens issue at least should have a color cover.

So should the Veterans and Holiday issue--I plan to fight for those 3 covers--will wait to 2012 to continue the fight or just go to b lack and white--have to things going for me--EVERYONE loves the color covers which were never done before and I don't get a penny for doing all the work so, in a sense, they owe me!
