Yesterday
was my last turkey sandwich lunch day!! New regime starting today in 2
different ways. Let's see if fangio or skinnyguy or any else can figure
out the second one! I have decided besides
eating cheeseburgers and turkey sandwiches when I eat lunch out I will
either order the restaurant's special or something I haven't had before
(that will be hard) or an item I haven't had in years. Should be
interesting -- at least to me.
Allen
and I went to Smokey Bones for lunch yesterday. For an appetizer he had
his favorite there--the cornbread with maple honey butter. I just had 1
bite and a small one at that! Yes, a small bite--well, small for me
anyway. Hey you can't even see it in the picture! LOL
Is
it me or the rest of the world? I ordered a turkey, lettuce, onion and
tomato on PLAIN, DRY bread. Instead I got a club without the onion. I
asked for mustard and the server brought me an almost empty jar and said
that it was all the mustard left in the restaurant!! With 2
supermarkets within a half mile the manager couldn't go and get a couple
of bottles of mustard until their supplies come in-- obviously not! In
any case the sandwich was edible so I didn't bother to send it back. I
took out the middle slice of TOAST. Why do I have a feeling that when I
retired as a server there were no professionals left?!?!?!

For
those who didn't see my songanddanceman post I came across an Internet
radio site that I haven't stopped listening to since. I happen to be a
Broadway- show tune geek and I am amazed at all the category selections
they have on just that genre. Check it out: www.accuradio.com/broadway
yes, there are other categories. This is the first time I've 'played'
the radio in years and, to my surprise--hey I'm a tech dummy--I didn't
know you could listen to music and surf the net! Right now I am
listening to the show tunes of the 1950s!
