At
one of the blog sites someone made a comment "See how many friends I
have" and I laughed out loud.  I have never understood the friends bit
on blog sites--what purpose do they/it serve ? At one
site I have 300 'friends' and don't know 275 of them! Also along those
lines I subscribe to over 400 (!!!) blogs on various sites--maybe 50 of
them post blogs with any regularity--and I am going to weed out the
nonbloggers. I really plan to cut back--again--on the whole blogging
scene. It seems since I am unable to control my posting (LOL), at least 1
blog a day, so instead I am going to concentrate on reading less blogs
and certainly commenting on less and I think doing the former will help the latter.

Most
pictures I take of Allen he isn't smiling so every once in awhile I
have to remind him and his face lights up! Here we are at the California
Pizza Kitchen and I am still on the turkey sandwich bit. I will tell
everyone NOT to order a turkey sandwich at CPK. I don't even know where
to start with what was wrong but the server should had said they
couldn't make it and why. First of all they don't have 'regular bread'
and could only offer  faccasio (sp?), then adding insult to injury they
only put on 2 ounces of turkey, not a slice of onion but chopped
onion--have you ever tried to eat a sandwich with chopped onion?
Don't!--and a slice of tomato. I wanted some fruit or a vegetable for a
side and all they had was some  cole slaw which was the worse cole slaw I
have ever tasted. The final insult was that the 'sandwich' cost $14!!!
At least I had a 2-4-1 coupon!

 
I miss my rare cheddar cheeseburgers--August is almost over!

It
looks like, as of now, that Irene will go east of us and that we will
only get the outer bands or a normal rainy season day in South Florida.
We do need the rain as our water level is 22" below level but we don't
need a hurricane!

I
am still in a state of shock! I was driving east on Victoria Park Road
and was at a stop sign and there was a lady in a car at the stop sign
going west. She was smoking a cigarette in her right hand and was
talking in her cell phone that she held in her left hand! I'm still
trying to figure out how she was driving?!?!?! I was glad when she
passed me.
