It had been 2 years since the last time Allen and I eaten at Humpy's and,
in all probability, it will be another 2 years if ever. There is a
negative feeling when you walk into a restaurant that is too busy and
the people who work there neither smile or greet you. There was, also, a sort of 'if you don't know what to do we won't tell you,' attitude from the 2 guys behind the counter.
You
place the order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. I had
planned to order a salad ($5.95) and a pepperoni pizza ($12.25) and we
were going to split both but Allen decided to order his own salad. We
both just wanted water to drink.
The
salad was prepackaged but of a good size and they added fresh
vegetables. We were given a slice of bread which was really a slice of
pizza dough and the salad dressings were commercial bottled ones. The
water we were given was HOT! The pizza was also hot, thin and oily and
really tasted like a frozen one except I know it wasn't as I saw it
being made.
I
had printed out a 20% off coupon from their web site so the check came
to $20.48. I don't remember Humpy's being this bad 2 years ago--I will
have to look up my old review if I can find it--but we should have gone
to Big Louie's!
