Cars, Cages, Contest and Other Cool Things

The
nerve of some people! I picked Allen up at the airport on Sunday and he
had the nerve to assume that I would give him his car back without even
asking me!!
I don't know about friends! Actually it is a good thing--I couldn't afford the gas!

Allen's Car

I sold the black bird cage on craig's list but still have the white one and the glass table.

Allen
and I had lunch at Arjan's this afternoon--review this weekend--and
when we came out I remarked that it 'felt like Florida' in the air and I
took the following pictures. I refer to the weather we have had this
past week and today as 'tourist weather'--warm enough for the beach
during the day and a cool breeze at night with low humidity. If/when it
rains it is usually about 4:30-5 PM just in time for the tourist to take
a nap before going out and spending the money we need!

A
couple of comments about blogging that I have noticed and questio--such
as why are Republicans, especially Republican women, so rude and in
your face? I know that is a generalization but I have found it to be
true, particularly one blog site. Also do you get frustrated when you
don't know whether a blogger is a man or a woman? I find it to be when
you want to address a certain subject and don't know the correct words
to use--nouns or pronouns!

If
it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, acts like a duck, is it a
duck? It never surprises me when a person says that a gay
person'chooses' to be gay and never answers when I ask them when did
they 'choose' to be nongay, that eventually they will own up to being a
Republican Conservative? I am not really picking on Republicans but
these have been my experiences blogging.

*************************************************

Does
anyone own/have a sugar glider? The people who bought my cage bought it
for theirs and someone else mentioned it in a blog. I did some reading
about them but would like to hear from people who have/had them
regarding feeding them, taking care of them, interaction with people,
etc.

Are you ready? THE Avatar contest is coming! Look for the 4 blogs starting on Monday
explaining how it will work--easy--and how you can win big!
GreatMartin's blog Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday--winner, and
the prize, to be announced shortly after! Don't miss out! Fun for
all--well most.

I think it was last year that statistics showed 5,200 new restaurants open every year and 5,189 close--seriously!

Arjan's looks like the hole-in-the-wall type of restaurant that just might serve amazing food.

It is a hole in the wall but don't serve amazing food.

Sugar gliders are really cute, but it's sad that they are taken from their homes in the rain forests to live in cages, and when are they are going to ever get a chance to any gliding? Maybe it can be rationalized that their forest home has been destroyed and they have been rescued. I don't know enough about it, it's just my impression, but nothing to do with you, Martin.

I understand--people thought I was crazy because I would clip my birds wings and let them out of the cages (with doors and windows locked!!) to fly around when I was home.
It just seems like all of a sudden everyone is talking about gliders and I was wondering what kind of 'pet' they make.
