A Week from Thursday ...

I went to the interview and on the upside, he was very friendly and respectful. I didn't really feel like I was on an interview, but just having a conversation with a boss. It was pleasant.

The annoying news is that

1. He's once again talking about possibly hiring for another part time position which would mean that I would have to go through this same hassle next Summer that I am right now (every year a temporary position)

2. He's not planning on having a decision until next Thursday...August 21st (I believe)...

Like a week and a half before school starts!

Ohhhh, I need to get caught up so I know how all of this played out. I think it stinks that you are dealing with this sort of thing...it's unfair, as well, because it leaves a person hanging...not knowing if they should wait or start looking for something else.

Oh, that's just plain ridiculous!

Have you thought of any other options? Rather than put up with this bullsh*t? Because you deserve so much better than this, Gee...you know you do...

THat is so frustrating.
I was at a school committee meeting tonight. They were talking about how they still are posting three positions (1 full, and 2 .4 positions). I just thought that was scary. I think most of it is due to the bad economy and its troubling effect on our budget. The two part-time positions are affordable only because our new hires were cheaper than expected.
