Finally, I've been bit by the blog bug! Not the bad kind of bug, like the flu bug, that makes you sick. But like the bug that tells you it's time to write...after an extended absences. I've lost and given up lots of parts of my old life...and most of this has been good.

But for a while I was beginning to think I may not blog anymore; that there wasn't a need; that nobody read anymore; insert a bunch of excuses here. But tonight I've decided that I'm not giving up this part of my life. It's not a part of my identity as Mrs. G, it's a part of my identity as Gwen.

After a crapola week or more, yesterday I finally woke up with some energy. Usually weekends are for sleeping in, but today we both woke up at around 8. We and the kids took turns playing wii fit (the best investment I've purchased in a while). Then we drank coffee while the kids cleaned their room. We took the kids out for a quick lunch, but then we all came back and enjoyed some of the sunshine we were getting with about 40 degree weather. G and I walked and the boys rode their bike and scooter. I took some pics of the sunny day. It was really enjoyable and really felt like I had not only made the most of my Saturday but also really got a good workout. We were probably walking for about an hour.

We even had time for a nice nap while the kids played more wii fit! I played a game of cards with Riss while G warmed up the sauce and boiled some noodles for spaghetti. After dinner, G and Riss went to the store and got a couple of movies and an apple pie! (hey it was 3/14) All of us (except Riss who has teenage im and texting addiction at the moment) watched Horton Hears A Who together.

Poor Kev has a cold and was very tired. He went to bed a little before the movie ended. I came to bed and played on my laptop for a bit while half watching a Lifetime movie in the background. Then G came to bed and I fell off into a loving, deep sleep. I was sleeping sooo good at around 3 when Kev knocked and said he couldn't find his inhaler. I spent probably 20 mins. trying to look for it while cleaning up his disasterous room but didn't find it. I had to drive him to his dad's to get one and then came back to get to sleep at around 4.

I still woke up early this morning...8 ish...

I feel pretty good but feel slightly jipped that G is snuggled, fast asleep at my side and the dogs are both snoring while I sit awake at the computer for over an hour. The sun is shining though and I'm already looking forward to getting on my wii fit today and maybe taking another walk! We have to make the most of this weather. It's been very scarce this Winter and with much snow still on the ground, Spring still seems pretty far away.
