Tomato Delivery

We had just gotten home last night from some grocery shopping when there was a knock on the door. It was my neighbor with a sack full of tomatoes for us! My tomatoes are still green! She knows my love of tomatoes and they have more than they need. So we sat outside talking for a while.
While shopping I found a DVD with 3 Vin Diesel movies on it! Movies I don't have in my collection! Hubby rolled his eyes as he put it in the cart. hehehe
I was also looking for a gift for daughter. She is moving into her first place this weekend. She is getting a duplex with her bestest friend and the friend's boyfriend. These two have been friends since middle school. I might wait to get her something until I see her place and see what she might need. I am just so proud of her! She is ready for the new semester of college, an asst manager at the clothing store and she is able to balance everything in her life.
Kota has promised to help me clean today. He already received his payment in advance. A big huge nerf gun. It has a scope, two lights and numerous soft darts to shoot. His school supply shopping is done. Now I need to find new clothes. Will probably hit the Salvation Army for that! He really only needs a couple outfits. But he does need new sneakers. He is excited to go back! We have had talks about what to do if someone picks on him or if he gets frustrated. I have seen big changes in him this summer. He is learning control. Took alot of work on mine and hubby's part.
We are having gorgeous weather! I might talk hubby into turning off the a/c for a while. It is so perfect! Standing outside last evening talking to our neighbor, it was almost chilly! Its sad to think another summer is coming to an end but I love the change in weather.
enjoy your sunday

What do you do with all of the tomatoes, Mary? I can never figure out what to do with all of them...make tomato sauce, I guess.Hard to believe the summer is almost over but I'm so glad to read that Kota is geared up and ready for school.

Home-grown tomatoes!!! If they weren't so good in salads and sandwiches, you could make a lot of tomato soup!! Since this is your daughter's first place, she probably needs a lot of things. I was amazed when I moved out of the house at how much I didn't have, but were essential! I wonder why Firefox is acting so strangely? I heard it was so much better than IE.)

Here in CT the weather has been cool too! GREAT sleeping weather! We've turned off the A/C, turned on the ceiling fan over the bed, and opened the windows wide!

Sounds like all is well with you folks! That's great! I hope Kota has a wonderful school year this year and that he isn't bothered by those pesky bullies.

What is cool weather and being chilly? That is something that is foreign to us Texans this time of the year. 100 and the heat index is 104 as I write this. Glad you all got some cooler temps. there and got some back to school shopping done. Yes, it is right around the corner. I remember those nerf guns. Had to buy two so Scott and Nathan could have fun with them back when he was younger like that. OOooohhhhh I LOVE home grown tomatoes!!!! We went to our local Farmer's Market yesterday morning and got tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, yellow squash, zucchini squash, and peaches. Sooooo good!! And we got all of that and it didn't costs that much also better quality!!

It was 59 degrees here at 11 o'clock. Eleven a.m., that is! Yikes, might not make 70, and it's August 10! Oh well, beats day after day of 90 degrees with humidity!
