I did my least favorite job today, the cleaning of the cat pans. Which is not really that bad anymore since I started scooping them everyday. However, the last time I picked up kitty litter I bought the cheap stuff. Lord have mercy is it dusty! When I poured it in the pans, this big cloud of dust came up and smacked me in the face. Of course while I was doing this I had an audience of cats, watching and waiting. As soon as they have a clean pan, they jump in to fill it up for me.
I didn't tell you this story. I know I have mentioned we have kittens again. The other night we had to go shopping. We have a gate up across the bedroom doorway so the beagle cannot get in there. She loves to play with the cats and she doesn't understand that the kittens are too small to play with. They are about 6-7 weeks old. Well we come home, the gate is down. And I see two of the kittens in the hallway sleeping. I look for the white one, cannot find it. Then kota yells, its on the couch! Well she did not look good, in fact we thought she was dead. Hubby picked her up, she was alive. He inspected her to make sure nothing was broken, she was not bleeding anywhere, no marks or anything. We think Pepper, the beagle, was playing with her and just got too rough. The poor little thing was just so sore. So at first I put her back with her mommy but she wouldn't go to her. I kept checking on her and she wasn't nursing. So I put her in my room in a cat carrier. I filled an eye dropper with milk and fed her. This went on for another day. Today when I let her out of the carrier she headed right for the bedroom with the other babies and the mom. So I put her in and she went right for mom. She is still a bit wobbly but she has been eating and moving around. I went in there earlier to check on her, and I layed on the floor. She immediately crawled up on me and went to sleep. Did I mention we were going to adopt these babies out? Yeah, I might have to keep her. She is all white with blue eyes. And after what we have been through together, I just think she needs to stay with me. *wink* I have already been picking out names. of course the obvious snowball, whitey. But then I thought #8. As in she only has 8 lives left. hehehehehe
