Finally the Road to Wellness

This morning Kota seems to finally be getting over this flu. I did keep him home again today. Now I have to call his teacher to see if I can come pick up the work he has missed this week. Maybe we can get it done this weekend. But we won't be having our sleepover at mom's this week. And we both look forward to our fridays with meemaw.
I did make that home made playdoh yesterday and it turned out great! Kota is still playing with it. Yesterday he wasn't really up for doing crafts, he just layed around most of the day. Maybe today we can do more things.

Hubby came home last night with some sort of bad news. They screwed up his paycheck and forgot to pay him his overtime! This was a bad pay day to do that. As our mega mortgage payment is due. But they did tell him at work if he needs a loan they can get him one. We can make the mortgage payment but then we would have nothing left over! But as hubby said last night, things always work out. So I am not worrying. Really, I'm not.

I am not showing any signs of catching this flu, knock on wood. There is no time for moms to be sick. And I have alot to do today. Might get my father in law to come over and sit with kota so I can get my errands done.

Can't repeat it enough times: Wash your hands! Especially true for kids, who share toys, books, germs, like they are all one big family. My friend who went back to teaching was sick for the first eighteen months, just getting everything all over again. Now she's had it all, and is mostly immune, though she has a kid in her class with Mersa, a staff infection with NO CURE. Scary stuff. Teachers (and librarians) should get paid a LOT more!!

Is there a time when a Mom can get sick??? I thought it was in a Mom's contract that that is not allowed--at least until the children are 21!!!

They'd better not be charging any interest for that loan.

I love it when the payroll is screwed up and YOU are the one that has to wait for time you already did! The payroll people wouldn't want to wait for their overtime, believe me.

I hope that Kota is starting to feel better...it's been a horrible winter all around for viruses, hasn't it? Are you guys going to take the loan? I'm like you, Mary...I try not to freak out because it does all work out in the end, but it can be super scary in the meantime.

Well I hope his work fixes it quickly! HOW FRUSTRATING!
I am glad you aren't stressing though. He sounds like a great guy trying to keep you calm...
