Well it's that time of year. The time for stomach viruses. Poor Kota! Tuesday night he had the throwing up part. And wednesday morning I had every intention of keeping him home. But he said he felt fine and would go to school. And he was fine. This morning we were waiting for the bus, which by the way did not come, and he was complaining of a pain, very high up on his stomach. He had a little gas so I thought it was just a gas bubble. He had a field trip today and did not want to miss it. Well around 8:30 the school nurse called. Poor kid had diarrhea, I needed to come pick him up and bring a change of clothes. He does seem to be running a low fever now. But he is home, relaxing, taking his medicine. I even bought him some ginger ale to help his tummy. The only other things we had to drink were apple cider and milk. Both bad things to take when you have tummy problems!
In my opinion, I would much rather have the vomiting than diarrhea! Ewwww gross, so many changes of clothes. The poor guy can't make it to the bathroom in time.
So my plans for today are scratched. I was just going to clean and shop for curtains. A lady I know told me to check the goodwill store for curtains. I would never thought of looking there! I told her if she has any more tips, pass them on to me! she said she is cheap, I said no you are smart!
We have our belt ceremony tonight for tae kwon do but I think we are going to have to miss it. Kota is really sad about that but also knows he does not want to have an accident in his white uniform. LOL
I have my antibacterial hand soap and am making good use of it today. I really do not want this stomach bug! So I am just going to take care of my boy today and help him to feel better.
