Today is Dakota's birthday! He is 11 years old now. We will be doing a party next weekend for him due to finances. Have I mentioned how nice it will be to be a two income family again? I did send in cupcakes friday for him to share with his class. We had to buy enough cupcakes so he could give each 5th grade teacher a cupcake. lol

Tomorrow I have orientation for the new job but I won't start until the following monday. I am already getting nervous. I shouldn't be, I have worked there before and I know what I am doing and I will also be working for the boss I had when I was there before. I am just a nervous person anyway.

First on the agenda is getting a new car. I mentioned before how mine likes to stall out. Well it is also drinking gas like there's no tomorrow. Last Monday I put $28 in my tank. By Friday it was below the empty mark! That was only making 3 trips to the town where my job will be! I am thinking next weekend we will go car shopping. Although we already know what we want, the kia soul. My daughter has one and she says she fills her up once every two weeks! We test drove one on new year's eve and we were approved for a loan but at the time we couldn't afford the payment. We had a great salesman who did not pressure us. He knew we would not be buying the car that day, but he went along with us to see if we would get approved for the loan.

I did manage to lose 2 pounds. LOL I haven't been doing too good with eating differently but that is mainly due to our budget. I am thinking once I have a more stable schedule I will be doing lots better.
