Zuxxhini Soup and Cat Savvy

I have been making a lot of zucchini soup. Ted won't eat it
but I love it. I season it with onion and garlic and a dash
of curry powder. (A small dash). Then I add medium cheddar
add milk and puree in the blender. When it is done, I
add a little sour cream. Everyone better beware of me because
I am Ms. Garlic Breath.

I got a tip at the grocery store from an elderly woman who
was probably not as elderly as me. She said to sprinkle
Seven Dust around the roots of your plants. She said that
she also ripens melons by leaving them in her car for a
day.

It is raining today and extremely humid. I appreciate every
drop that we get. We are so unaccustomed to rain in June.

My neighbor who arrives uninvited almost daily brought me a
booklet about dog and cat behavior. None of it is news to me. Everyone who has ever owned a cat knows THEY say when
they want to cuddle. If it had only told how to keep Rex
from washing his feet in bed. I could dump him out but I
hate to hurt his feelings.

Brunswick grooms on the bed after we are all in for the night. His shlurping is very noisy. Sometimes I distract him by picking him up for a minute.

They have their ways of getting to us but thankfully the puddle of drool is
almost always on Ted's side of the bed.

Dogs and cats have no sense of timing. If we correct them, they look up astonished - 'why? what's wrong?' Same with Mr. YouKnow. So many times I want to yell 'Stop that! Just stop now!' but he would be astonished to know he was irritating me, and I'd feel guilty.

You are so right. Ted always says, "Don't let him wash his feet." but I
notice that he never corrects him.

Washing his feet in bed? What do you mean? Miss Charlotte is a nail biter, I have debated spraying her feet with some bitter apple to see if that will keep her away from them.
I just made a zucchini "pasta" salad... yum! Halved cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, zucchini cut into strips with a peeler (that's the "pasta" part), some red onion and some Italian dressing. It's pretty good!

He leaves a puddle of drool as well as making a noise but I am always
glad it is on Ted's side and not mine. I bet you never give up Miss
Charlotte.

What is Seven Dust?
Angel likes to clean her claws on our bed, usually around 2AM. The clicking is most annoying.

Angel doesn't drool, be very glad. Seven dust is a mild insecticide. I
always put it on the leaves but it makes a lot of sense to put it around
the roots because it gets the worst of the squash bugs.

The soup sounds divine there. It is hot and humid in the last couple of days.
Most of this will be gone by this weekend.
Garlic is one of our favorites and also good for you and Rex.

I saw that you were hotter than we were. It was 77 yesterday but very humid
from a morning shower. I am eating zucchini soup every day. I made dilly
bread last night to go with it and took a loaf over to Bobby and family.
