We always dreaded August as Oklahoma is usually bone dry and the heat is 100plus degrees. The temperatures have been in the eighties and we have had lots of rain. The tomatoes have gone crazy and the lawns are green and flourishing. It is a pleasant change.
The house seems empty without Rex and little Jose is grieving. I told Ted that I absolutely did not want another dog. Our vet bills were staggering last month.
Julia brought two of Jose's dog friends by last night to visit Jose and it really gave his spirits a boost. Rex
used to play with him and gave him big sloppy licks in the face.
I am picking up my grand daughter after school. The sight of the display of flesh is amazing. A favorite costume is cowboy boots and shorts so short and tight
that it makes one wonder how they wiggled into them.
I realize that this view of school attire betrays my age
but sleeveless blouses are banned and this just does not seem reasonable to allow so much leg. Of course, these
girls are very cute and look good in them. Ashley is five ft. ten and she has a lot of leg to show.
Big hugs to you all!!
