Football Season Again ... .Sigh!

Jose and I are pretty much left to our own devices, especially when O. U. is playing. Adrienne has a job at
the stadium, showing people to their seats so she didn't come home and Ted is glued to the TV.

We should have made plans for the holiday weekend but it kind of sneaked up on me. I hate these long weekends with nothing to do. Of course I could bake or clean house but neither option is appealing.

Jose is learning to be dog in chief. He depended on Rex to
start the barking and he is just now understanding that it is his job to be proactive. He also has started following us because that was another thing that Rex took the responsibility for. His two favorite things are his walks and riding in the car. The word GO sends him into a dancing romp.

Sometimes he even sits up. We know that he can do it but just haven't found the right command.

Football is like religion: study it and you find that it's useless. For some, it becomes a culture, like RVing or ham radio, where people get together and exchange experience. But for the others? I think it's a better way to kill time than watching golf. What a shame that so much school time is wasted on things that don't matter in the long run.

It is useless. So much of entertainment is. However, we are loyal to the O. U. games and usually watch them. It is hard on the nerves because the games are so close and O. U. barely squeaks by.

I think of things to bake, but then don't get around to it. I did remember to make a batch of biscotti for Mr. TroutBend to take to Las Vegas.

You are truly blessed. Does Ed like westerns? It is ted's main tv fare.

Although I was a cornetist in the Austin High School Girl's band, which went to all the H.S. football games, and played during half time and formed letters ... I never learned to understand the game. All the subtleties were lost on me. I am blessed that Ed's interest in the game is marginal.
