Ultimate Boredom

My life has reached a peak of dullness. Ted had his cataract surgery on the 9th. All went well. He was spoiled to death. He had it at Dean McGee which is the best place in the state and got deluxe treatment. the doctor has called twice to see how he is doing. My family was all here last Saturday. There are ten of us. I really enjoyed the grandies. Sara has gorgeous children. Owen has red hair and Chandler is blonde and the baby is a brunette with navy blue eyes. All three under seven and Logan is supposed to be the last one. I am desperate for a vacation. I am looking around for something. At this point a night in a hotel would help. Our last cruise was disappointing. The food in the dining room was really bad and the time away from the ship was poorly planned. It was our last carnival or royal carrb. they are owned by the same company and have really gone downhill. Perhaps we can do a road trip after Ted has his next eye fixed. It is scheduled for the 30th but there are so many follow up appointments but it will be the last day in August before we are done.

have a cataract on my left eye, right eye is blind, the specialist told me it's risky having surgery one slip and I'm blind and see him again in 4 years

The cataract must not be too bad then if you can still see out of that eye. Ted's first surgery was remarkable. Looking forward to the second one.

We're hearing that New Orleans has weather problems that are serious. I hope they can escape real damage.

I hope it is not nearly as bad as Katrina. I crave the ocean but it can be terribly destructive.

You have to gently read Ted the riot act about saying no to everything. Tell him you'll go without him. Can you get a friend to join you? That might wake him up.

I am thinking a trip to New Orleans. I love the trip, it is a complete change in culture. I guess I will patiently wait on his cataract surgery. In the meantime, the heat has dampened my desire a little.

You and Jennifer are peas in a pod right now. She's desperate to get away and I'm tied up with "stuff". We're gonna do it, though. It's for our own sanity. I hope you can get away soon! Share lots of pictures!

With all due respect, Jennifer needs a getaway even more than you do. She is such a smart girl and with no adult conversation it gets a little
confining. ted is amazed at what he can see out of his surgical eye now
and I am very relieved that his vision is better.

Do you cook for Jose? We think some of Missy's behavior is due to food allergy. I'll be dong the cooking after we see the vet on Tuesday.

Yes, Jose gets a half cup of boiled chicken breast every day. I supplement it with Biljac. I half to be careful and not give him much at a time because he is a fat glutton. The vet said not to let it worry us because he was healthy and happy. He prefers thighs but there is too much fat in the thighs. I don't mind doing it and a diet of chicken and rice is ok with the vet if you give a supplement. He likes
dry so we use that instead of vitamins. I love that you and Donna were caring enough to take on older dogs.

I don't do anything except 4c Camp for Adults and it's never bee a problem. We looked at Amtrak tours, but I don't want to spend time in big city hotels so screw that. My dream trip was an rv crosscountry run but Donna can't handle the driving and the rig is too old now. It would need new tires and such. I just can't spend big bucks to buy a memory. Hope you find something that suits you!

I can spend big bucks on a memory, what am I saving for at my time of life. My daughter and Bobby's children will have enough from the sale of our h ouse to get a boost up. P. S. I can't believe how smart Jose is. He just went to the kitchen and gathered up his chicken to bring it back in here and eat it with me. It is messy but I have to give him
credit for his intelligence.

And get an Uber to drive you to that high end hotel.

Sounds wonderful. Ted has said no to all my proposals so far. There are some exciting bed and breakfasts around...one features a murder mystery weekend at a haunted inn.

Why not plan for a night in a high end hotel, one with entertainment. Would Ted say no?

It sounds good. There is one in a nearby town that isn't difficult to reach. I will let you know. Jose and I walked this morning with an elderly man and his beagle named Patrick. Patrick is a nice dog.
