It has been over fifty years since I fretted over my fortieth birthday. I was depressed and felt like the Is That All Their Is song...Carly Simon? She nailed it for many of us. I had all that I was supposed to want and it still didn't make me happy. I was in a dead end marriage to a man I could not really respect and that was a lot of it. I felt that I had left it too late for many of the goals that I wanted to achieve. Now...more than fifty years later, I wonder why I didn't appreciate forty more!! Teal and Martin and Fredo (ak the Prince) and I have reached such an advanced age that I think we must also wonder if we are going to live too long and lose the qualities that make us human. I hope not, guys because I don't want to belong to the diapers and drool set. On that note, I wish you a fun filled fourth.
