I answered the door and was overwhelmed by a dozen roses
and a box of candy. Ted was prepared to be angry until he
read the card. It was from Bobby and it touched me deeply
because I know that he thought to make me happy, when he is
in such misery himself.

The roses are white with traces of pink and they smell
heavenly. Ted took me out to lunch and we enjoyed it.
We were entertained by a group of women lunching and telling
one and all how it was in the good old days. They were
dressed to the nines and all wearing red. However, they
were not wearing red hats so I don't think it was the red
hat society.

Adrienne posted on her face book page that she was in a
relationship. I'm wondering how they arrived at the
relationship stage after one date, but of course they are
together every day at school. My goodness, sometimes it
is a comfort not to be young anymore.

The day has turned out to be a lovely one.
