Taxes

Just when I thought we were home free, I remembered that property tax time is almost here. For the first time in years, I have some prescription glasses on order at eyemart and took some trendy sun glasses as my second pair. Hopefully this will improve my driving
skills at night. I should have the first pair in about ten days.

Ted swears by Gravity Defy shoes and I just got him a pair and although as Teal says that doesn't sound foxy...she is right...they are comfortable and prevent all sorts of back and foot ills.

We are trying the gummy bears and it is a pleasant way to take the hemp products. I have noticed a bit more energy but Ted says he has not noticed any change at all. Had I read Martin's article before I ordered them, I would probably have refrained.

It is so humid here and there is not a breath of air. It was sheer drudgery to walk Jose and he got too hot. He inherited the long fur from his pom parent and is getting so cute that I don't want to take him to the groomer. The last time, we gave him a lion cut ourselves and he is so obedient that it was pretty easy. He is much cuter with all his fur but he gets too warm. He has sweaters for cold weather walking and he loves wearing clothes. Alas he has gotten portly and requires a new winter wardrobe from Big Lots.

I requested a sign from our Democratic candidate for Governor and
have received no response...he needs to get busy because the Republicans are pouring vast amounts of money into the Stitt campaign. I am hoping for a blue wave in November. However since Stitt is running on an ultra conservative platform, I don't have much hope for the governor's race. Oklahoma is filled with people who are still irritated because Nixon was impeached. True...improbable as it sounds!

When you start thinking about Taxes, well, that's when I need a handful of gummy bears, plus a strong drink. I wish we could see a picture of Jose. My mind comes up with an image and then I find out I'm wrong. For a long time I was certain Rex was a black dog, for some reason.

I don’t know how you are surviving in that state of yours, it would drive me crazy! I’m assuming you stay for your family.
I think we will be getting rain soon due to the hurricane but that’s about it which is nice. I have a friend in Wilmington who had a tree fall on her house which led to water coming in. I feel for her because she has to wait on insurance to fix it.

It is hard to cope with the right to lifers and the republicans. we stay for several reasons family and the cost of living. I cried bitterly when my first husband insisted we leave Virginia but now everyone is here and family means so much to me. Ted and flaunt our yard signs proudly.

We are getting plenty of rain here. Our new hire, Remi, has cut all of our hedges down to bare bones. I mean everything is sticks. It all looks awful, but it will come back lovely. Funny how annoyed Ed was when our bougainvillea bush was cut "too low" by our last hire, a woman. Do you think gender has something to do with it? He totally trusts Remi.

I am thrilled and awed by the Manafort flip. Fingers crossed.

Oh yes, I am thrilled by manafort's flip too. I love it when we get just enough rain and not too much. It is odd but I can agree to disagree with Republican friends but they do not do the same. They are so hostile and evidently do not believe in freedom of speech and thought.

We are still in summer weather here - high 80s and 90s, record-setting. It has been hotter than it was all summer. This is not a good way to head into fall, because it could easily be December before we see any kind of appreciable moisture, has happened in the past.

We had a nice little rain yesterday and it saves me a ton of work. I hope you get some relief. Drought is terrible for animals and people.

My ex used to make rain coats and jackets for the boyz and Benny would run to the door to test his out as soon as he was fitted. I have such cool memories of the big guy. Our democratic governor beat his challenge in the primary by 35 percentage points. But the interesting thing is that the dems for comgress in my district and the neighboring district (red) are too close to call. And the republican in the next district stopped that ads that say she stands with *rump. I'm very hopeful for the Empire State!

I have almost no hope for Oklahoma. The religious right is rampant and of course stitt is a right to life poster boy and a trump supporter. They swallow the lies and believe anything contrary to Trump's bragging is fake news.
