Those Stubborn Scales

I have been trying hard to lost weight and as of now, I have
lost ten pounds and just as I go down one pound, then it is
back the next day. It is discouraging to say the least. I
have done away with sugar but my sweet tooth still plagues
me. I gave in this morning and had rasberry jam on flat
bread.

Any weight loss tips will be appreciated. Carbs are my
downfall.

We lounged around all day yesterday and had dinner and a
drink at a local pub. Surely a salad and one light beer
didn't tack that pound back on.

My big incentive is our fall cruise. When we stay at home
all the time there is little reward in being slim.
Help!!

Donna's weight has been where she wants it for 7 years on low carb. She suggests the Atkins site. She had the excess skin removed from her stomach area last year this time. That itself weighed 12 pounds. She eats salads and meat and half&half in her coffee and cream and fruit and nuts and eggs and cheese and it's really not bad. Almost all the things I eat except fries and bread (unless it's made with almond flour). There's even pizza made with alternative ingredients. I like both although the one with cheese and cauliflower "crust" is a bit on the costly side. And I do remember when I did the carb-addict's life-span plan that you are supposed to hop on the scale every day, but only consider the average at the end of each week. Day to day fluctuations can confuse the issue for many reasons.

There's no point in me giving you any tips. Nothing works for me. Good luck!

Oddly enough, if I don't eat anything after 2 p.m. it helps but that is hard
to do.

I do not bother. Why fight it.Enjoy your life.If you feel good thats all it matter.
Unless you are working for a cover girl mag.

Dear Fredo, feeling good and looking good, for me, are the same. when I gain weight, I am MISERABLE. When I am slim and have my ballet body, I'm on top of the world.

I am bothering so I can look decent in my clothes instead of like a fat
frump. Rolls around the belly are disgusting. You, my friend are slim
as a rail and extremely disciplined.

I weigh every day and write it down, per the biofeedback system I learned from Mendacious Thoughts on Blogster. That tells me, always, what I did that undermined me. If I watch lunch and eat a normal dinner, plus my glass of wine, and do an exercise routine (stretches, weights, ab exercise plus my obligatory 16 ballet jumps holding on to the counter), that may include an hour's walk or an hour's bike ride, I will lose from one half to a whole pound. Without doing any of tese things, I lost a pound doing 1/2 hour of Pilates last week. Oil-Testimonials.com is the site that offers many recipes for common aging problems using essential oils, and was the source of the recipe I posted. They have weight loss items as well. As time goes on, I will try more of their remedies. Check them out. You have to register, but it's no cost.

Ugs I always fight with the pounds... Weight watchers has worked for me in the past mostly because if I want to eat a cookie I can! How is your exercise? Still walking a lot?

Spring is coming and I always walk more when it is pleasant outside. I have
never tried weight watchers. I lean more to the Atkins way which is to
brutally wean myself from carbs.
