When we hugged goodbye, I got that sinking feeling and almost
cried. Fredo and Mike became the brothers that I never had
while they were here. Fredo is just as funny in person as
he is on his blog. He has a wicked sense of humor and he is
my naughty little brother. Mike is my older brother, dependable and helpful. A wonderful combination. Ted did
love having them to talk to and Mike pushed his wheel chair
so that he was able to go about with us.
Jeremy made some wonderful plum jam that is just the right
sweetness and sent it home with them and gave me a jar. It
is just as pretty as it is tasty.
The Cowboy Hall of Fame was having the Prix De West while
they were here. It is the one day when you can take pictures
and they have the art auction at night. I saw some great
impressionist pictures. That is my favorite style. I think
or see things without detail, maybe because I am near sighted.
The artists were there, chatting us all up. The prices varied
from 5,000.00 to over one hundred thousand dollars. I saw
about five that I longed to own but unfortunately I am not
in the right tax bracket.
Mike called from Atlanta. I told him I missed our good
times on the back porch where we had happy hour in the
evening. I guess I missed our conversation most of all
because Ted hurts too badly to talk much. We will get all get
together again.
The blog has brought me such good friends, first Laura,
then Jeremy and Jennifer before and during Sofia and Fredo
and Mike. I highly recommend it. A blog reunion would be
so much fun. We are all just like how we sound on here so
there is little getting acquainted to do.
