Shopping with the Grand Daughters

We needed to be distracted yesterday and I took Adrienne
and Ashley shopping. I give no advice or supervision since
I don't know what is trendy in the teen world but they
did just fine without me. They both are tall and thin.
Adrienne is curvy but Ashley is almost six feet tall and
fashionably flat.

I had a gift card for mother's day and I spent it at
Ulta for a new perfume that I love by Lancome. I think
it is called Le Vie Est Belle.

I took the girls out to eat at Panda Express and we got
a to go box for Ellie and Bobby. Ted does not like
Panda express although the rest of us count it as our
favorite fast food.

Storms are predicted for all next week. I am so tired
of them. We have a roof leak from all the rain and feel
fortunate that it is all that we suffered from them.
They almost have a predictable path...up from Texas through Lawton onto I 44 and then to Chickasha, Norman
Moore and the edge of Tinker Field. Since they stay
on that I 44 corridor it makes on wonder if the highway
somehow draws them.

My youngest grandaughters are such a gift. Adrienne is brilliant and
Ashley is a social butterfly. Panda Express is fast food Chinese and it
is surprisingly good. The Asian Beef and egg rolls are delicious. Love
the scent of the perfume. Ted says it is haunting.

Grandaughters are the greatest and I enjoy these two youngest ones a
lot. They are a gift at my age. Panda Express is Chinese. I like their
Asian beef and egg rolls. They cater very reasonably and I am going to
have them do that if I have a party next winter. Ted describes the scent of that perfume as haunting. I absolutely love the smell.

We finally got a half inch of badly needed rain, but all the strong stuff stayed south. It's almost planting time! I'll be putting in seeds at the end of the week and tomatoes and peppers right after Memorial day. How are your 'maters standing up to the rain and wind?

My tomatoes look pretty good and I am potting a few volunteer cherry
tomatoes to see how they do. I planted one pepper, one seems to keep
me supplied. My roses were spoiled with all the rain but I fertilized
today and they should bloom again soon.

Bringing home treats makes everybody glad you went somewhere! Our storms haven't been so violent but the rain seldom stops. You may be right, maybe the heat of the highway does draw a storm, with heat radiating from both cars and asphault. Here, the hills have something to do with breaking up big storms before they travel far. I think. Anyway, the highest hill, Mt. Washington, seems to get some of the worst weather. Weather's such a wild mystery.

I don't understand why people still live in Moore, Ok but I suppose they
feel that they are immortal, like teen agers. You can get a big fancy
house there for not much money so they keep taking that chance. weather is a mystery. Our dry plains are saturated now with more to come.

That sounds like a nice day. I'm glad you enjoyed! Leaky roof - boo!!! Sounds fixable though. I hope you stay safe through all the storms

I will deal with the leak this next week but in a way it was fortunate.
The roofing contractor is the husband of a friend and he told me my
work would be a lot less if I got a leaf blower for the porch and patio.
I got one today and it is like a miracle!!

Having granddaughters would be nice if I didn't have to go through everything it takes to get there. So enjoy. You have earned the results. I think Le Vie Est Belle translates to "life is beautiful". We don't have Panda Express around here. Is it hamburgers?
